After his success with the Cadillac closed body, Fred Fisher (center in photo) joined with his brothers Charles (third from left) and Albert (end left) to incorporate the Fisher Body Company.

Additional Information:

In 1919 General Motors acquired 60% of Fisher Body, securing a large percentage of the company's body-making capacity. In 1925, Fisher acquired the Fleetwood Metal Body company, a leading custom coachwork company. In 1926, GM acquired the rest of Fisher Body, and made it an operating division.

Several of the Fisher brothers continued as prominent officers of General Motors.
