1920, GM Export Expands in Asia

The GM Export division opened its first Far East branch office in Manila. By the mid-1920s, GM Export was exporting vehicles built in North America to all regions of Asia. In 1922, the Manila office was moved to Shanghai, China, laying the foundation for future assembly operations in China.
