1947, The First Saab Automobile, "Born From Jets"

A team of 16 aircraft designers from a Swedish company called Saab AB, only one of whom had a driver’s license, decided to apply the design and engineering concepts they had mastered in building jet aircraft to the automobile. The result was the first Saab automobile prototype, hand-built and now considered a classic for its aerodynamic lines, functionality, and efficiency.
