GM’s fifty-millionth vehicle produced in the U.S., a 1955 model year Chevrolet Bel Air coupe, rolled off the line in November 1954 and was the highlight of a celebration in Flint, MI.
General Motors published a pamphlet featuring a statement given by GM president Harlow Curtice regarding this accomplishment.
