1955 Oldsmobile

The first car I remember my parents having was a two-tone blue and white 1955 Oldsmobile. What I remember most about that car was its' roominess and for having electric seats and an AM/FM radio. As a small child I would get in the car and play with the electric seats. My father, not knowing this, went through several generators (before the advent of alternators) and was not too happy when he caught me play in the car and put two and two together. Yes, my bottom paid for the several generators he had paid for. That was the problem-why the battery was constantly dead.
Another thing I remember about that car was once I asked him "What is the FM for?" His reply was "Don't touch it! It is good for nothing." How times have changed!
