GM delivered the world’s first full-size hybrid pickup truck to Miami-Dade County during the tenth National Clean Cities Conference. The hybrid Chevrolet Silverado delivered up to twelve percent fuel economy improvement over comparable pickups, giving it the best fuel economy of any full-size truck on the market. Hybrid versions of both the Chevy Silverado and the GMC Sierra went on sale to consumers in the fall.
