Growing Up GM Proud
I am a second generation GM employee. My father, Ralph Raczynski, began his career August 1, 1954 at the GM Building on W. Grand Blvd. Over the next 34 years, he contributed his time and talent to help shape this corporation. From suggestion awards that saved the company money, to his active involvement with the GM Men's Club (GMMC), organizing the first GMMC Children's Christmas party for employee's children and mentally & physically disabled children in Metro Detroit, he demonstrated his loyalty to this great company.
Thirty-five years later, on August 1, 1989, I began my career at GM. GM was the only company I ever wanted to work for. GMI (General Motors Institute) (now Kettering University) was the only school I wanted to attend. And GM was the focus of many projects and papers throughout my high school and college years.
I am GM, and very proud to work with some of the greatest people in the world.
Happy 100th Birthday GM!
