Lloyd and Mark Reuss: Father and Son
Father and son Lloyd and Mark Reuss have fond memories of Buick. Lloyd’s personal connection spans from 1975 to 1984 when he moved from chief engineer to general manager of the Buick division (he went on to serve as president of General Motors from 1990 to 1992). He discusses a milestone when he was proud to see the production of the front-wheel drive Riviera win Motor Trend’s "Car of the Year" in 1979.
Lloyd and his son, Mark, happily share the time when they bought a 1963 Skylark convertible that served as Mark’s car to prom. Mark goes on to explain his direct involvement with the Buick division as he worked as vehicle line director of the Rendezvous. He describes the vehicle as the crossover that paved the way for the Enclave.
